Keith William Moore, 87, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Delmar Care Center in Henderson, NV. Keith was born on November 4, 1921 in Mitchell, SD to Jim and Cora (Splitt) Moore. He attended school in Mitchell and Minneapolis before graduating from Monona High School in 1939 and briefly attended Iowa State University in Ames. He was united in marriage to Irene Edith Kelsey on February 9, 1948 in McGregor, Iowa and farmed for 20 years outside Monona before becoming an over the road semi driver for HyGrade and CRST. After retiring he and his wife, Irene, were able to travel the country in their RV for several years.

Keith enjoyed a good conversation, spending time with his children and grandchildren, playing cards, travel, hunting and fishing, and was known for his sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by the many family and friends who knew and loved him.

Keith is survived by his wife of 61 years, Irene (Kelsey) Moore, Las Vegas, NV; five children: Richard Moore (Marilynn), Inver Grove Heights, MN, Donald Moore, Rock Island, IL, Patricia Shipley, Las Vegas, NV, Jo Ann Petrossi (Jim), Yorba Linda, CA, and Roberta Huinker (Bill), Temecula, CA; 12 grandchildren: Jason, Kimberly and Melissa Moore, Jennifer and Jim Shipley, Nicole, Jamie and Billy Petrossi, and Kristin, Katelyn, Hannah and Sarah Huinker.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, brother Kenneth, and daughter Jean Marie in infancy.
