Terry Lee Dunbar was born December 1, 1970, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Donald Q. and Hazle B. (Overton) Dunbar, Jr. As a youngster, Terry and his family moved from Des Moines to Volga, where Terry attended school in the Central Community School District.

Terry has lived in Oelwein for the past ten years. He loved music and Harley Davidson Motorcycles.

He is survived by his parents, Donald Q. and Hazle B. Dunbar, Jr., of Volga; his brother, Matthew Q. Dunbar of Gibson City, Illinois; one son, Hunter Dunbar of Wisconsin; his significant other, Brenda Sargent and her son Jamie of Oelwein; and many aunts, uncles, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald Q. Dunbar, Sr., and Rita Dunbar-Albers; and his maternal grandparents, Lester C. and Maude E. Overton.
