Ronald Dean “Ronnie” Lawson, 18, of Manchester, died on Monday, October 19, 2009, as the result of an accident near Dundee. Ronnie was born January 21, 1991, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Ronnie was raised and educated in Manchester and currently a senior at West Delaware High School.

During his junior year he enlisted with the United States Army Reserve and completed Boot Camp at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He was currently private first class with the army reserve and employed during his senior year at the Days Inn in Manchester.

Ronnie enjoyed snowboarding, skate boarding, fishing, camping, and his truck.

Survivors include his parents, Todd and Trish Lawson of Manchester; maternal grandparents, Janet and Dick Lynott of Hiawatha; paternal grandparents, David and Sandy Lawson of Manchester; great-grandmother, Viola Hackbarth of Manchester; an uncle, Rob and Paula Keller of Amber; an aunt, Angela and Ryan Wicks of Manchester; and his special friend, Courtney Ahlers of Worthington.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Robert Keller.
