Kenneth L. Miller, 84, of Hastings, Minnesota, formerly of Troy Mills and Manchester areas, died at the United Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday, November 22, 2009. He was born on June 10, 1925, in LaPorte City, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Elsie(Osborn)Miller. Kenneth was raised and educated in the LaPorte City and Troy Mills area. He served honorably in the United States Marines.
In 1947, Kenneth was united in marriage to Genevieve Beaman. Five children were born to this union. They later divorced. Kenneth lived in Manchester and St. Paul Minnesota. He was a truck driver until he went to work for Peterbilt in South St. Paul where he has been working more than 25 years. Kenneth enjoyed helping others.
Survivors include four children, Jack (Rose) Miller of Edgewood, Glenda (Darrel) Johnson of Cedar Falls, Deb (Steve) Krogmann of Manchester, and Ken Miller and special friend, Gina, of Hastings, Minnesota; thirteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick (JoAnn) Miller of Eldridge; and a sister, Donna Mae “Sally” Roberts of Pascadula,Mississippi.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Terry Miller in 2005, and Kenneth Raymond who was stillborn; two brothers, Don Miller and Russell Miller; and three sisters, Lucille Williams, Ina McAatee, and Dorothy Landis.
