Diane Amelia McTaggart, 60, of Elkader, IA, died in her home November 24, 2009, following a short illness. She was born December 12, 1948, in West Union, IA, to Donald and Bernadine (Harnack) Browne. For the past sixteen years, Diane was employed by the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. She was married to Patrick McTaggart on May 27, 1995, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elkader, IA.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick of Elkader; son, Ryan Robinson (Tonia) of Elkader; stepson, Sean McTaggart (Melissa) of Minneapolis, MN; stepdaughter, Erin Zein of North Liberty; brother, Dennis Browne (Kimberly) of Onanock, VA, brother, Jerry Browne (Sharon) of Iowa City; sister, Cindy Wilker (Dave) of Elkader; father, Donald Browne (Anne) of Dubuque; mother-in-law, Mary Virginia McTaggart of Winter Park, FL; sisters-in-law, Colleen Nading of Cedar Rapids, Dianne Wall (Dennis) of Winter Springs, FL, Maureen Reinert (Tom) of Parkersburg and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Bernadine Albert.
