Roxie Cramer, 56, of Mead, Washington, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2009, she had been sick since September. Roxie was born on February 27, 1953, in Manchester, the daughter of Burton “Spike” and Veda (Fernald) Parker. She was raised in Manchester and graduated from West Delaware in 1971. Roxie continued her education and graduated from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, with a teaching degree in special education. While teaching, she also took graduate courses from Drake University.
On August 5, 1972, Roxie was united in marriage to Roger Cramer in Manchester. Two sons were born to this union. Together they made their home in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Washington.
Roxie had many close friends wherever she lived. She was a very talented quilter as well as an avid sports fan, especially Gonzaga basketball.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Roger Cramer of Mead, Washington; two sons, Jared Cramer and his wife, Jessie and Seth Cramer all of Spokane, Washington; her sister, Cindy (Craig) Zebuhr of Manchester; and her brother, Robert (Brenda) Parker of Manchester; her mother-in-law, Vivian Cramer of Delhi; three sisters-in-law, Georgia (Michael) Deep of Elgin, Illinois, Gretchen (Russ) Domeyer of Dubuque, and Kim (Patrick) Gordon of Iowa City; and many nieces and nephews.
Roxie was preceded in death by her parents. |
